School selection

Choosing a boarding school is not about rankings

It is about finding the school that is right for your child.

On this page you will not find a checklist of "the best schools in Britain." What you will find are schools we know personally and genuinely trust.

Over more than 16 years we have visited hundreds of schools across the country, spoken with Heads and teachers, and seen first-hand how pupils live inside a campus. We understand a school's atmosphere, the quality of its pastoral care, and how its staff actually respond in real situations.

Important: a school appearing on this list does not automatically mean it is right for your child. The right choice always begins not with a list of schools, but with understanding the child — their character, academic level and goals.

"The best school does not exist. There is only the school that is right for your child."

How we work with schools

Our relationships with schools are long-term professional partnerships built on trust and a shared priority: the wellbeing of the pupil.

Direct contacts within schools

We have personal contacts with Admissions Officers, Housemasters, tutors and medical staff. This allows us to resolve issues quickly and reach the right person directly in any situation.

Inside knowledge of each school

We visit schools regularly — Open Days, Parents' Evenings, meetings with leadership. We understand not just a school's official position, but how it operates in practice.

An independent view

We are not tied to any specific schools. Every recommendation is based on what genuinely suits the child — their character, academic level and goals.

Admissions support

For families on our Standard and Premium packages we provide full support with documentation, coordinate school visits, and accompany the family through every step from first enquiry to receiving an offer.

Selective admissions create a motivated community in which respect, humility and the ability to work in a team are genuinely valued. Children grow up in an environment where success is earned through effort, not performance.

How to navigate the school list

We understand that a list of schools can feel overwhelming, especially if you are only beginning to explore the British system. Here is how to approach it:

1

Age and stage of entry

Schools accept pupils at 7, 11, 13 or 16. Start by identifying the right entry point for your child.

2

Academic level and requirements

It is important to understand what environment suits your child: a highly academic school, a more balanced setting, or one with a supportive, developmental focus.

3

Co-curricular activities and your child's interests

School is about much more than lessons. What matters is what opportunities exist beyond the classroom — sport, arts, music, drama and other activities. The right school supports a child's strengths.

4

Location

Proximity to an airport matters for travel logistics. Rural schools tend to offer a more traditional boarding atmosphere; schools near cities provide more activities and cultural opportunities.

5

A personal conversation

Any list is only a starting point. The final choice always requires a genuine understanding of the child — their character, academic level, interests and the family's expectations.

Schools we trust

Each of these schools has been through our own personal selection process. We know them from the inside — not from brochures, but from the real experience of our students.

Ask about other schools

Choosing a school is only the first step

The admissions process has clear stages, and we help families navigate them in a structured and error-free way.

01

Initial consultation

A detailed conversation about your child: academic level, character, interests, English language ability and family expectations. We form a shortlist of 3–5 well-matched schools.

02

Arranging school visits

We advise on Open Days and individual visits, indicate what to look for and which questions to ask. We can accompany the family if required.

03

Document preparation

We help parents compile the application pack: we clarify each school's requirements, check completeness and advise on presentation and content.

04

Supporting the admissions stages

We advise on the admissions process — exams, interviews, deadlines. We explain what to expect at each stage and help the child feel prepared and confident.

05

Communication with the school

We help establish the right tone of communication with the school, clarify responses and requirements, so that parents can make decisions based on complete information.

06

After receiving the offer

We advise on next steps: accepting the place, paying the deposit, preparing for the start of school and all practical arrangements ahead of the first day.

What parents say

"
"We found ourselves in a very difficult admissions situation, and Kristina found a solution even after the deadlines had passed. Thanks to her support, my child received a place and was able to choose the right subjects. What seemed nearly impossible became reality. I wholeheartedly recommend Kristina as a highly professional consultant."
